Personal Statement
Volleyball has been a part of my life even before I was born. I was raised on the court with my mom as a coach, fell in love with it at 8 years old and haven't stopped playing it since! I can't hardly remember a time in my life without volleyball and I can't think of life without it. I've always been a taller than average player so I've had the opportunity to begin playing Varsity volleyball since I was in the 7th grade at 5'9'. Being involved in volleyball has taught me that hard work and drive are essential, being a good teammate is of the utmost importance for success, and that I have the skill and passion to continue to play for several more years.
I've tried to keep my life balanced with sports; I've been a 2 sport varsity athlete since 7th grade, maintaining good grades; 4.34 GPA, and giving back to my community, four service based school clubs and youth coaching. Life can get hectic but this is the journey I want to continue on because I know it will help me become a successful collegiate athlete and a professional after college.
I hope that as you get to know me you will find that I am hard working, intelligent, and committed student athlete. I would love the opportunity to continue my volleyball career as I prepare my future in the health career field.
