Abigail Flynn '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Abby Flynn.  I'll be graduating from Baton Rouge Magnet HS, a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, in Spring of 2025.  I am absolutely in love with the game of volleyball!  This is why the career path that I'm taking will hopefully keep me involved in volleyball long after college.  Right now, my ultimate goal is to become a Sports Chiropractor because i know its a growing field and it is such a holistic way to help fellow athletes perform their best!  

My volleyball career only started in High School.  I didn't make my freshman team; I was the last person cut....but this fueled my fire.  Fran Flory, LSU VB Coach once said "if you want to play in college, you can't just do what everyone else does, you have to do all that and then more; you have to become the best!"  I took this to heart and I went to every camp and every training session my parents would allow, and I became team manager so i could support my team in any way.  The following year i had an unfortunate training accident and severely sprained my ankle 4 weeks prior to try-outs; I was still able to try out in limited capacity and made the JV team as a DS.  I continued taking private lessons, camps, and club teams, and for the last 2 years I have played on the 17u National Club level.  The first National Club team i had the position of DS and filled in as libero.  This year's National Club team I have the position of setter.  I like both positions, but i LOOOOVE setting and giving my attackers that perfect ball to slam!   I love to work hard, I'm not afraid to sweat, and i am willing to put in as much effort as it will take to play in college.
