Nadia Pereira '21 Recruiting Profile

My biggest goal since I started to play volleyball was to have the opportunity to play at the collegiate level. This has been a goal of mine since I was 10 years old, and I have only wanted to achieve it more ever since then. This goal has been what has pushed me through those preseason workouts, tough practices, and is the reason why I want to continue to learn and grow at this sport. Playing collegiately is also one of the most impressive accomplishments any athlete can have. The friendships that I have made with my teammates at both school and club are some that I cherish and will keep forever. What makes me different from other recruits in character, is that I have the constant drive to get better and to make my team better. Next to my family, my teammates are the most important thing in the world. They will always come first no matter the situation. Academically, I am extremely dedicated to my studies. Juggling school and volleyball is not an easy task, so learning how to manage my time wisely has been an important factor in my academic success. Through every struggle, my love for volleyball only continues to grow which is the reason why furthering my experience as a student athlete in college is one of my biggest aspirations.
