Focus, hard work and dedication define everything I do in life. I have always taken as much pride in my schoolwork as my athletic achievements. Maintaining a high GPA no matter the level of classes is very important to me. I do whatever necessary to reach my full potential as a student athlete. Doing so allows me to stay eligible on the court, set a positive example as a team leader and be there for my teammates when they need me most.

Sports have been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up I’ve played soccer, track & field and volleyball. Volleyball is my passion. It’s a game I love to play and a game that I excel at playing.

I started playing volleyball at age 9. Initially I just played recreationally. At 14, at the urging of coaches, I decided to get more serious about volleyball and tried out for a travel club team. I have continued to play travel club volleyball since that moment. I worked hard at learning the fundamentals of the game. In my freshman year of High School I made the varsity team and often started as an Outside Hitter. I also enjoy playing right side when my team needs me to fill in for that position.

I take great pride in being a team leader. I prepare for and expect success; I expect to win. Winning is an attitude. Winning is part of who I am. Given the opportunity to continue toward my goal of achieving excellence both in the classroom and on the court, doing what I love, would truly be an amazing experience.
