Reese Helisek '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I’m Reese Helisek. I’d like to tell you a little about myself that you will not find on my profile.

I am a caring person that loves to help others. My hope for the future would be to further my education at a four-year college majoring in Sports Medicine or Intermediate Education. I enjoy helping others learn and grow. I also coach young volleyball players as I love to see others fall in love with the sport as I did. 

I have a younger sister that I enjoy spending time with. She is truly one of my best friends. We have two dogs and two cats who we love dearly. My parents are both college graduates and support both me and my sister in everything that we do.

At school I am my class’ Vice-President and I am very active in Best Buddies. It is important to me to help those who are less fortunate that I am. These extra curricular activities allow my leadership skills to grow and are teaching me the importance of working with others to accomplish goals sometimes in diverse settings.

On the volleyball court I am at home. The court is my happy place. I can forget everything that has happened that day and do the thing I enjoy most. I love practice as much as games and welcome any chance to touch a volleyball. I have worked extremely hard to be a student of the game and grow my Volleyball IQ. Regardless of level or my position on the teams I have played for I am a leader on the whether on court, on the sidelines or at practice. I strongly believe that hard work is the key to any success and realize that discipline and dedication will elevate my success.
