Maya Flores '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Maya Flores. I've lived and played volleyball in the East Lansing, Michigan area. I've been playing volleyball since i was 4. I have always aspired to play at a collegiate level, no matter what level I am thankful to touch the ball. Volleyball has been my passion for my entire life, anytime a volleyball is in my hands I forget about everything else and focus on what truly matters to me which is this sport.

I am a setter and I am also a very good defensive specialist. I've played outside and right side hitter in the past. I have strong ball handling skills and a very hard worker. I'm a team leader striving to lead my team. I work to be a good example for people all over. Im very coachable and listen and try to fix anything my coach tells me too. I strive to be the hardest working player and one of the hardest working recruits you'll find.

I'm attending Lansing Catholic Central currently and Over the fall of 2022 I played at the JV level as a freshman starter. I currently ended my sophomore year running a 6-1 on JV. I most recently ended a travel club volleyball season for a national 16u team as a younger player. Over the spring I also played school soccer, I started most of the season on varsity as a freshman and I've played throughout my entire life. The athleticism and attitude is transferred both onto the soccer field and onto the court.

In the classroom, I work hard and complete all my work and more. As an 8th grader I struggled with school but freshman year i've only excelled in school. I have a high GPA and love all my classes. I'm currently taking an AP class as a sophomore. I'm fluent in two languages English and Polish, and take guitar as an extracurricular. 

I want to attend somewhere where i can excel in both the class and on the volleyball court. I am open to all options and want to find a college that feels right and one that matches my level of volleyball and studies. I love volleyball with a passion, and it is my dream to play volleyball in college. I am not afraid to sacrifice and work hard towards my goals. I am a good player and hard worker and I am willing to work as hard as i can and achieve my goals.
