Abigail Carr '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Abigail Carr and I am a starting rotation 5'9" outside hitter.  I will graduate with the class of 2024 from RTR High School in Tyler, Minnesota. 

I have played competitive JO volleyball for seven years for Southwest Minnesota Volleyball out of Marshall, Minnesota. Last season (2022) my club team and I earned 9th place at the AAU National Championships in Orlando, Florida. 

With the help of my teammates, I received many awards during the 2022 High School Volleyball season. I was chosen as a member of the 2022 Minnesota All-State volleyball team, and I was awarded the Best Offensive player for RTR. This season, I set the school record for the highest number of kills in a season. 

 I have obtained a 4.0 GPA throughout my middle and high school career and I hold myself to very high academic expectations. I hope to play college volleyball for a team where I can grow both as a person and as an athlete while having the opportunity to participate in the sport I love. I come from a very hard-working, competitive, and loving family and have acquired these characteristics both on and off the volleyball court. Volleyball is one of the essential things in my life; the next two are my family and my education.
