Personal Statement
I am a well-rounded person with a passion for volleyball. My high school, Pembroke Hill, emphasizes the three As: Academics, Athletics and Arts. I embody the AAA student. I'm an excellent student because I am curious and engaged; I'm a good athlete because I work harder than anyone; and I'm pursuing an arts focus at Pembroke because art makes me happy.
I have played on the Pembroke Hill Varsity volleyball team for two years. I currently play for the club team MAVS 17-2 . I am training to play right side on this team, a change for me as I have played middle blocker in past years. I love both positions, but think right side may be a better fit going forward. I am fortunate to be making this change with the help of a coach that played right side in college.
In 2017, my 16-1 team won the USA division at the USAV Girls Junior National Championship. It was an amazing experience, and I am incredibly proud of how hard my team worked to earn our victory.
