Tessa Scheer '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tessa Scheer and I am currently a sophmore at Northwest High school in Grand Island, Nebraska. This past fall I was a Varsity only player and eventually earned the starting spot midway through the season. I am primarily a right side hitter who occasionally hits from the left pin as well. I am in my 3rd season with VCNebraska for club ball. I started with that club at 14U earning a spot on their second team 14 Black. During my 15U season I moved up to the top team, 15 Elite and in my current 16U season I am playing on the top team as well, 16 Elite. I currently drive 90 miles one way to attend club practices 3 times a week. This is how passionate I am about volleyball and how dedicated I am to receiving some of the best coaching in the state. I am competitive by nature and want to do what I can to help my team on the court. Off the court, I enjoy the outdoors. In my spare time I like to play pickle ball, read, go for walks/runs and spend time with friends and my sister. I also enjoy animals and will study zoology/wildlife biology in college. In high school I am a member of the Fellowship of Christians athletes (FCA). I recently went out of my comfort zone to lead a breakfast Bible study for the group. In both my freshman and sophomore years I have earned my academic pin as well as a letter in track. In track, I participate in the high jump where I placed 6th at state my freshman year. This year I have currently jumped my PR of 5'4. 

When choosing a college I want to find a "home". Somewhere I can learn and grow not only as a person but as an athlete.
