salma villamorales '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Salma Villa Morales and I am a Libero/Defensive Specialist from Las Vegas, NV. I will be a 2023 graduate from SLAM Academy. I have been playing volleyball for 9 years and I currently play for Vegas Volley as a middle back Defensive Specialist, and occasionally, Libero when needed. After many years of playing volleyball I’ve come to the realization that building relationships and bonds with your teammates is very important. Being able to uplift one another, making sure we are all focused on the same goal, being selfless and putting my team first, and just being the best teammate possible is what I continuously strive for as an athlete. What sets me apart from others is that I prioritize my mental game and have learned to not only be mentally tough, but also be resilient and allow myself to learn from my mistakes.  I love playing volleyball and would like the opportunity to further enhance my athletic career by playing at the next level. I would love to explore opportunities available in the collegiate program and see where I can help the team and make an impact. I hope to major in psychology and/or business.
