The excitement of being pulled up as a freshmen to play on a varsity level sport was a turning point in my athletic career. After being a part of a team that won a Section 1, Class C Title in New York, I decided to play volleyball year-round. Making a National level travel team taught me true dedication. Although I made many sacrifices to play volleyball on a National team, it was more than worth it because I was able to earn a starting position on my competitive high school team. I am lucky to be part of a strong volleyball program that encourages me in every way possible. Through my first full year on varsity, I have learned mental toughness is one of the most important aspects about the sport. I have also learned the values of teamwork, leadership and to always stay positive on the court.
I am enthusiastic to start the 2019 club season playing up as a 15 year old on a 17 National team. I am extremely devoted to this sport and my academics. I believe my strong work ethic and leadership qualities can be a great attribute to a college team. I would like to find a college academically and athletically suitable for me. I am always looking to grow as an athlete. My characteristics of perseverance, resilience and being a strong team player will be a great asset to a college team!
