I tried several sports before falling in love with volleyball. I started volleyball when I was 13, and it became my passion. Both my parents played collegiate sports, and they are my biggest fans. I have played on the top Open Division team for 14s, 15s, 16s and 17s at NC Volleyball Academy.
I have played on my varsity team all 3 years, and we won the 4A state championship last season! While I play middle hitter/blocker, I have worked to improve all aspects of my game – passing, serving, and even setting. I take jump training and private lessons to work on technical aspects of my game.
While I may not be the tallest MB, I get to balls on both offense and defense that many others can't, and I turn those into points for my team. I love being part of a team and being with my teammates.
