A 6'4 senior @ Millbrook High School, I‘m Alex Olander and the leader of our Varsity team. We just played in Good Guys vs Cancer Showcase and though we lost to Cannon, I scored 23 pts, had steals guarding a DI commit and several assists. My defensive assignment is always the opponent’s best offensive player and often, D1 commits. I like that challenge and play very well against these 4 and 5 star players. I know how to step up, defend and deny.
I know I would help a college team win games. Looking for a great program who likes a strong defender who plays a physical, tough brand of hoops. I have a high hoops IQ having played all my life, rebound well, love to drive to rim and know how to find and get ball to open man.
This pass spring and summer and year before, I was invited to play for Coach Jeremy Ellis and Team Loaded NC U17 and U16 on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit. Tenacious on defense, I averaged 1-2 blocks a game and 3-4 steals in tournaments and helped us win games. I think my intensity, competitive will to win and relentlessness on defense sets me apart as a player.
To further develop my skills, I train every day. I work hard and know my best basketball is ahead of me.
Academically, I have A's in every class this semester. My goal is a 4.4 GPA. I am taking 2 AP classes, 3 Honors classes and 2 electives.
My athletic goal is to play for the most competitive basketball school possible at a college that also has very strong academics. I will contribute an intense competitive edge to a collegiate team, be a leader on the court and work very hard in the classroom. I have high standards for myself in both sports and academics.
Hope you will consider me as a prospect for your program and come see me play in person. Millbrook plays in the Lemon Street Classic in Marietta, Georgia Dec 21-23 and in John Wall Tournament Dec 27-30th in Raleigh @ Broughton High School.
