Personal Statement
I asked my volleyball coach why she picked me for her Varsity Team. She answered, "You have spunk, and you never quit." My goal is to become the best I can be, and do the thing I love most, volleyball. Being a part of teams, working hard, and meeting new people is why this sport is so important in my life. To play at a college level would help me reach my goal towards a degree and continue to play after my high school career. I've been playing volleyball since I was 12 in Tulsa, OK, and I have been playing since. I have been a part of many different orginizations such as USAV, OKRVA, as well as an invitation from Down Under Sports in Australia to represent Oklahoma, Club Teams, and Jenks High School Varsity team. I have also participated in Sand Volleyball. Volleyball has greatly impacted the way I treat others, my sense of teamwork, and stregthened my commitments to athletics. I have grown up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and have been part of an enviroment that has taught me to do only what I love the most, and to be honest and true about what I can do. I belive college volleyball is what I should do with my life, and i'm committed to the sport completely. I maintained a 3.9-4.0 GPA through my freshman year, and I am looking to take classes in the feilds of Human Genetics, Nutrition and Biology. I love to write and I am planning to enroll in AP Language Arts for my highschool years. I'm not sure what my plan is for college, but I love Nutrition, writing, biology, and math. Volleyball has taught me life skills and how to commit myself to the things I want most in life, I wish to carry out my volleyball experience in college.
