Personal Statement
I was born into a very competitive family that helped shape my love for sports. I started playing recreational VB when I was in kindergarten and fell in love with the sport immediately. I have played club soccer, basketball, and lacrosse, also participated in Cross Country, hurdles and shot put, but my passion was for Volleyball so that became my one and only sport to focus on. By the time I started playing club my coaches quickly saw my drive and hard work ethic and I stood out as a leader on the court. Along with being athletic, I know the game very well. I am always thinking about how to better the ball and I play smart by making good decisions, especially when the pressure is on. Whether our team is winning or losing, my energy on and off the court always stays the same; positive, focused, and encouraging. My hard work also shows in my academics. I’ve maintained a 4.0 GPA all throughout high school and middle school as well. I want to continue learning and playing a high level of volleyball in college while furthering my education in psychology and mental health.
