Tessa Sparacino '25 Recruiting Profile

I began playing volleyball about six years ago and found that my interest in the sport grows each year. The privilege of being able to compete is matched only with the comradery that team volleyball offers. I visited my brother's college a few years ago and watched college-level volleyball. This furthered my love of the game and I was compelled to play someday in college. I now attend matches at the College of Charleston in my hometown to further my knowledge of college ball. Outside of camps, clinics, varsity play, and club ball, I am motivated to work on my techniques in the yard or driveway striving for a competitive edge over others my age. It is fulfilling to see myself advance in my skills with hard work. 

This year I am co-captaining my high school team and have already been selected again for a national club team with Top Flight. I am excited to be in a lead role for my high school team where teaching others about a competitive mindset is important, alongside not losing a connection to your team. We need to lift one another and I believe a team plays at their highest potential when they work together. I am hoping to mentor younger players on the team to learn the balance between focusing on one's own goals while helping the team meet their goals as well. I look forward to advancing my skills in hopes of playing college ball where I can be confident that my natural skills, a positive mindset, and strong work ethic will be an asset to any team.

I love to compete, alongside building a cohesive team approach to play where we support one another and grow together both personally and in our game. My organic love of learning and pursuit of excellence helps me on the court and in my academics. Ongoing efforts to advance my skills and my work on building comradery in a team sport would make me an excellent candidate. My team and volleyball connections allow me to be part of a supportive and loving community that I feel lucky to have found.
