My name is Channing Cannon. My love for Volleyball started at the age of 9, when I was introduced to local rec league. At the age of 11, I played on my first Travel Club team, playing up for a 15U regional Team. The following year I played on a 14U Nationals Team. For the current Travel Club Season, 2023-2024, I was able to secure a spot with a Top 100 ranked Club, on their 14U Premier Team. I've spent most of my young volleyball career playing as Libro/DS, with setting as my secondary position. As of the last 6 months, I've gained momentum as a setter, and find great enjoyment in that position.
What I love most about Volleyball is how energetic and competitive the sport is. I love winning as a team, even sometimes losing as a team, but mostly just being there to support and lift each other up.
In the classroom, I challenge myself with Honors and College prep courses. School is a top priority for me, and I feel my grades (GPA) reflect the work I put in.
My ultimate College goal is to play for a Division 1 school. I strive to be the best that I can be, and to always learn and grow as a person, on and off the court. I work very hard, and I pride myself on being teachable and accepting of critic.
