Personal Statement

Please note: I am currently a sophomore at College of the Canyons (California Community College) in Santa Clarita, CA and looking to continue my volleyball career as a Fall 2019 transfer. As such I have listed my HS grad year as 2019 since there is not a junior/community college transfer option to select.

I am an extremely versatile player and am confident I can compete at any level.  At College of the Canyons I have been a 2 year starter as an Outside Hitter and played all the way around.  In 2017 I was the teams 2nd leading hitter and in 2018 I lead the team in kills (approx. 270) and was 2nd leading in digs (238).  My freshman year (2017) we took 3rd in the California Community College state tournament.

In high school I have mostly played as an Outside Hitter but played all the way around.  We placed first in the South Dakota Class A state tournament in 2016 (senior year), 5th my junior year, 3rd my sophomore year, and first my Freshman year.  My club team also placed 3rd in AAU nationals with me playing the libero position in 2016. I was a 3 time all region selection, all-state 2nd team selection (2016) and all tournament team at the 2016 Class A state tournament.

I am extremely consistent, athletic and I am very confident that my versatility and competitiveness will benefit any team. I am looking for a hitter or libero spot at the collegient level where I can make an immediate impact.  I am used to playing at a competitive and successful level and look forward to continuing that in college.

My ACT was a 25 and high school GPA was about a 3.1 and current college GPA is approx 3.2.  I'm pursuing a business major headed toward a prelaw path.

I am a true all around player and am open to either OH or a DS position.

I am loyal to my team, my coach and my family.  I give my best in all I do and will do the same for you and look forward to discussing opportunities in your program.
