Jessi Byrd '24 Recruiting Profile

Hey Coaches!

My name is Jessi Byrd, 

I have been around sports the majority of my life growing up and in school. Track, Basketball, Swimming, Martial Arts, but most importantly Volleyball. Volleyball has been the sport that has stuck with me since 5th grade, and is still growing on me to this day. With every tournament that I play, I strive to get better no matter what it takes. Looking for constructive criticism is what I do because it shows me the skills that have room for improvement. Success comes with time, effort, and especially learning from your mistakes. Honestly, volleyball is more important to me then what degree I pursue.  I see volleyball as a means to help pay for college, and to get a degree. My ultimate goal is to have a long successful career as a Firefighter in Austin Texas. Having a degree will help me promote and make the most of my career. 

I will make the most of the opportunities that I am given.
