Sydney Reyes '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sydney Reyes.  I'm a 5'10" athlete that has been trained to play the MB and OH positions. My approach jump is 9'10" and I can play all front row positions.  I feel my skill set is my speed and quickness, my ability to hit with both power and finness and my ability to play above the net and block.  My soccer and basketball background give me a competitive advantage in speeding up the game.  My ultimate goal is to play in college at a highly competitive level, win championships and complete my degree. I am team-oriented and push myself harder than the coaching staff. In addition, I am academically dedicated to excelling in the classroom.

I play both high school varsity at Denton Guyer and club volleyball for Texas Image 17 Mizuno Ray.  We are currently ranked #2 in the N. Tx. region, #2 in Texas and #13 in USAV.

My work ethic is second to none and I believe in leading by example. I practice and play volleyball because I love the competition, teammates and winning. With me, your team will have a hard-working, highly motivated, athletic and focused teammate who will compete everyday, on and off the court.

In conclusion, I am extremely athletic, powerful and physical, very coachable, quick, have a strong vertical and the skill/ability to play multiple positions. I will be a valuable player for your team and you will not be disappointed.
