I joined my club team at 14 and only swam freestyle. But after going to bigger meets I decided that I wanted to swim other events as well. After my first summer season I started to work on my breaststroke and butterfly. At the end of short course season went from a 58 to a 52 in my 100 fly and a 1:04 to a 1:00 in my breast. I was also dropping time in my freestyle as well. Going into summer I had really high hopes but hit a wall at the beginning. But at the end I was able to drop time in my 200 im, 100 breast and 100 fly. Going into short course season my goal it to become a stronger 200 and 400 im swimmer. I’ve learned that not only in swimming but in life as well, if you want something you need to work for it. I’m going to be 17 this year and I’m ready to focus on my weaknesses and make them stronger.
