Emma Martinez '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello there. My name is Emma Martinez. I am an incoming sophomore at McMillan High School in Plano, Texas.

I am a highly motivated setter aspiring to play volleyball at the collegiate level. I have played and loved volleyball since the 3rd grade. I began my club volleyball journey in 2019. Now, 4 years later, I play for Madfrog and have successfully run a 6-2, 5-2, and 5-1 offense. This past year, as a freshman, I set for the Junior Varsity team at Plano East Senior High. I know what it takes to compete at a National level.

My freshman year, I was also on the Varsity track team. I threw the discus and shot-put. I hit my PR with the discus at 97.9 inches and placed 8th in the district. I love being an all around athlete. It allows me to use the discipline, work ethic, and skills taught and learned to better myself as a teammate and athlete.

I am not only dedicated to excelling as an athlete but academically as well. I have a 4.0 gpa. I push myself to be the best version of me. I want to play collegiate volleyball and become a pediatric nurse. The skills that I acquire now will help accomplish future goals.
