I have been taught from a young age to simply be the very best that I can be given the talents and opportunities that I have been given. My goal in everything is to always practice and improve to reach my highest potential and to celebrate along the way when I do. I’ve also been taught to believe that anything short of that would not be good management of the good gifts that I have been given.
Over the years, I have volunteered for non-profit organizations, church projects and have learned to serve others. I am a hardworking individual who expects the same from my peers and teammates.
Attending an academically selective school and taking volleyball to the next level would be a wonderful goal and accomplishment for me. Academics have always been important to me and my family. While I am not completely sure on what I want to pursue yet, I am interested in medicine and how the human body functions.
I believe that I am a good fit as a DS/L because I enjoy reading the court and calculating the moves of opposing players, which trains my mind and increases court IQ. It is exhilarating to see that when the setters and the hitters succeed, I contribute to this teamwork with the pass.
I believe that I have improved significantly since the beginning of this year’s season and know that I am still growing in my gameplay. I look forward to the rest of this year's travel season, then beach volleyball and high school season to see how much more I can improve.
