Volleyball is my only passion and I'm very dedicated to this sport. I went to my middle school tryouts in 7th and 8th grade, but I didn't make the team either years. However, not making it those 2 years pushed me to do better and improve my skills because I knew I wanted to play in college with a scholarship and the only way I could do that was to improve. I never gave up, I worked hard and I made high school tryouts my freshman year and I've been hooked ever since.
I bring the energy to the court and try not to get down on myself. If I do I remind myself that there's still the next point and as my club coach told me, "Better the ball." I always encourage my teamates to play at their best and I lift them up as well if they get down on themselves. I'm quick on my feet and never stop pursuing the ball until the whistle is blown. I've always been a competitive person but I'm even more competitive on the court. I'm very coachable because I love receiving feedback from my coach about how to fix my mistakes and I'm open to anything that will improve my game.
My ultimate goal is to get a scholarship to my preferred college and I will not stop pursuing this goal until I achieve it, and even then I will be a very hardworking athlete in order to become a better player in college.
