My name is Evangeline Sum and I’m a L/DS. Fun fact, I have four siblings and another three step so you can guess I'm pretty big on family and community. I am currently a junior attending Lynnwood High School while taking classes at Edmonds College. I’ve played volleyball ever since I was 9 and it‘s something that’s cultivated into the most important thing in my life. My dad and I worked with institutions like Seattle Pacific University and companies like Alki Volleyball Association to expand the adult volleyball community in Seattle. I’ve been surrounded by volleyball my whole life and it’s something that has not only helped me but I've used to help others expand their horizons, almost all my close friends are from the sport and I credit volleyball to being my key motivation in success. I’m hoping to get committed to a college with a coach who pushes their players not just physically but mentally as well. My goal is to play at the highest level I’m capable of while surrounding myself with a community that will better me too. I think it’s really important for a player to be coachable and humble so I pride myself on being an intuitive athlete. Please take the time to look at my profile and provide any additional feedback! Thank you so much.
