Hailey Johnson '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Hailey Johnson. I am 5’2” and completely passionate about the game of softball. I bring intensity, hard work and dedication on and off the field, I am responsible with strong morals, manners and have a large family. We are very close.

My goal in softball has always been to attend a top University and compete in an elite program. I would like to major in Physical Therapy and minor in Psychology. I am open-minded about where I attend but tend to be drawn to the suburbs rather than large cities.

I am a multi sport athlete (basketball,track and softball) but softball will always be my passion.

My most important accomplishments for far have been being nominated MVP my 8th grade year for softball, making it to League Championships for track (long jump 4x4 relay and the 100 yard dash, and making Varsity for both basketball and softball my freshman year.

I have always played up a level on my traveling teams to keep me pushing and striving to be the best athlete for myself and team that I can be.

Softball, for me, has helped me push past comfort zones to be confident in a vulnerable state, I learned how the correct mentality in a game makes a big difference and how to really step up to be a leader for my team. I can truly say that softball is so much more than just a game; there are so many lessons I have learned between the white lines that I have been able to utilize in my everyday life.

My dream is to continue this into collegiate level and then become a coach to instill the same lessons and love of the game that I have into the future players.
