Aloha, my name is Emma Kameaʻiʻomakamae Kim. I currently attend Kamehameha High School Kāpalama on the island of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. I have been swimming competitively for seven years and playing water polo for five years for both my school and local club teams. In the 7th grade, I tried out for the water polo team because I was curious and somehow made the team. Two weeks into the season, I fell in love with the sport and decided then that I would want to continue playing water polo in the future. Over these past years, I have developed my ball handling skills and my understanding of the game to where I earned a starting position on the varsity team during my freshman year.
I am a very social but determined person who works well with others whether I’m in the classroom or in the pool. I continually strive to work hard and improve myself.
When I think about the future, I am looking for a college where I can obtain a good education while playing water polo. I would like to be a part of a team where I can contribute my positive attitude, energy, and strengths as well as gain knowledge and experience playing at the college level.
