Jose DeLaGarza '25 Recruiting Profile

I lived on the southwest side of Chicago gage park my whole life and grew up around family and friends that ended up mediocre with no morals. Growing up as a boy scout my whole life I can say has definitely improved my mindset,lifestyle and changed my trajectory. I went to Solorio academy high school where I wrestled for two years (freshmen)(junior) (including beat the streets post and pre-season).My junior year I qualified for sectionals and was 2 matches off from qualifying for state,  after my junior season I needed more competition and higher standards on my school mats because my team was too small and not as experienced. I decided to risk it all, convinced my mom to move out with both of us leaving everything behind just to give me one year, one more chance to win it all, gain a scholarship,achieve greatness and overcome odds. Its my dream to win a national title, compete in the NCAA and wrestle the next level
