Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Kyle Botermans. I am an aspiring right handed pitcher and third baseman with the dream of competing at the highest level of collegiate baseball as I possibly can. I am a determined player that works to hone on my craft everyday. I currently throw 5 pitches that I have confidence in throwing including: a 4 seam fastball, 2 seam fastball, curve-ball, splitter and slider. At third base my arm strength is good and my glove even better. When it comes to my ability at the plate, I've excelled thus far through high school as well. My greatest attribute without a doubt would have to be my fiery competitiveness as I am willing to work until I am indisputably superior to my opposition. When it comes to my academic ability, I am a 4.0 honor roll student who takes multiple honor and advanced placement classes. I challenge myself in the classroom with the same intensity that I challenge myself on the field. I hope to pursue a career in Energy Resource Engineering at this point in my life. In addition to baseball, I have played varsity basketball and football since my sophomore year. I am also involved in leadership, mathletes, the National Honor Society and DECA. I am currently a junior in high school and am beginning to look at prospective colleges for my future. With that being said, I plan to attend a plethora of camps, tournaments, combines and showcases going forward. Just contact me if you are curious as to which ones exactly.
