How do you rank the top colleges for your sport?

By this point in your recruiting, you’ve probably realized that there are a lot of schools where you can play your sport. You might know someone who goes to them, or looked at the rosters to see if players at your position have similar measurables to you, or even used some of NCSA’s tools to match yourself academically, athletically and socially to the school.

But it can still be overwhelming to get a sense of how schools relate to each other and decide which one will be best for you. After all, you can’t just go for the one that you see the most on TV or the one that has the funniest Instagram pictures. That’s a reason why we release annual lists like the NCSA Power Rankings to help recruits get a sense of a school’s performance.

Here’s another way to consider the top colleges for sports in 2015

So we decided to look at schools another way, by digging into the schools athletes most often want to connect with through NCSA Athletic Recruiting. They can do this directly from their profile page by favoriting schools and showing interest in different college programs.

Check out the schools below for another way to discover the best colleges for sports in these rankings, which show the top 10 schools in each division as favorited by NCSA athletes. Of course a favorite school of other student-athletes might not be your favorite as well, but we hope these top 10 lists will help you get a sense of the kind of schools you could look at, depending on which level you’d like to compete at. Ultimately, we hope this will help you determine which program might be the best fit for you.
