Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Allison. I'm currently a 16-year-old junior from Rogers High School, and I play for the Rogers fast pitch team. I began playing at the age of 12 for my elementary school and fell in love with the sport and the competitiveness. The first year I played, I started out as a catcher and was recognized by one of the select team coaches who asked me to join his team for league ball! Of course I said yes! Since then, I have become experienced in second base, shortstop, third base, pitcher, and catcher. This year for school ball, I am a starter on JV but am hoping I will excel and join Varsity by the end of the season.
I have played with my club team (the Huskies) for 7 years. From the time I was 14, I was playing with the 18u tournament team, and I have been the team captain for the last couple of years.
I am also a national champion inline speed skater. I started skating when I was 5 years old, and I hold national records in a couple of distances. I have also qualified for the last 2 years for the professional league (the National Speedskating Circuit), and won a silver medal in the 100 meter time trial in my first season.
With college ball, I am hoping to gain experience, have fun, and support my school. Fast pitch is a competitive sport and I'm ready to represent and play to the best of my ability.
