Personal Statement
Update 10/15/15: I had committed to play volleyball and went to a DII school in Va and started the first 4 games. We went 3-1 I had 119 assists, 22 digs, 5 aces and 2 blocks. Due to extenuating circumstances I decided I needed to withdrawal and come back to Indiana. I am still interested in pursuing volleyball but at a school closer to Indiana. I have my official release from the university.
Since childhood, I have always dreamed of playing volleyball competitively in college. I am a primarily a 5-1 offense setter who takes note of the other team's blockers and overall defense. I create a winning offense by knowing each of my hitters ability. I live for the perfect pass (haha), but know ultimately I will be running, diving and jumping to make the "perfect" set. I've played high level competitive volleyball for 7 years and my teams have been to the AAU tournaments and placed as high as 5th in the OPEN division. I am also a 4 year letter winner at my high school. I am very athletic with great instincts and ability to make things happen. I play because I love the game and I love the sense of being a part of a team!
Off the court, I am involved with volunteering coaching volleyball, Easter Seals of America program working with Down Syndrome kids and the Best Buddies program.
I am looking for a program where I can make an impact immediately and help my team, and teammates compete at the highest level possible. I look forward to being a part of your volleyball family!! I am a player who wants the win!!!
I am looking to major in Psychology or Early Education.
