Season Highlights...
President's Day C...
Post Season Highs...My name is Katie Egenolf and I am an OH/RS for the class of 2022. I have only been playing volleyball for two years, as I have played basketball my whole childhood. I started my volleyball career off by earning MVP as a freshman on the JV for my high school class 4A team. At that moment, I knew I wanted to play this sport at the collegiate level. While playing for one of the top clubs in Indiana on their 15-1's team, we won the MEQ qualifier and we triple qualified for the USAV nationals by placing in the top 4 of every qualifier.
As a sophmore, defeating our high school's biggest rival, Providence, who was ranked 10th in the country, in the Regional Championship was a huge accomplishment. I finished that game with 14 kills despite having a dislocated finger on my hitting hand. Making it to the championship of the final four, playing the number 1 ranked team in the nation, New Castle, was the most hard fought game yet. We fell short, but I finished the season with a career high 28 kills and 4 blocks. For the year, I earned offensive MVP, Most Improved, All County 1st team, All Conference Honorable Mention, and I am currently ranked number 1 in the state of Indiana according to Prep Dig Volleyball. I also made Highest Honorable Mention for the SOPH 79 according to Prep Volleyball. During my second year of club at Circle City, playing on the 16-1's team, we won the President's Day Classic and Bluegrass both in the Open Division.
When I walk into a gym, I want to learn everything I can to make me a better player for my team. Being able to play all three positions in the front row and in the back row if needed makes me a versatile player. All three of those positions are fun and challenging. I love to cpmpete and be challenged. I am looking for a combination of high level volleyball and academic execellence. I put everything I have into all that I do!
