After being a three-sport athlete most of my life, I realized after the 8th grade that more time was needed in the winter to prepare myself for the sport I truly love. Giving up basketball has allowed me to enter into our baseball off-season workout program as soon as football finishes. In addition to the work I put in on my own, the winter workouts allow me to condition my arm and body properly, prior to the start of our baseball season. Having a father and older brother that both played college baseball, I have a good understanding of what it takes to make it to the next level and I want to make sure I do everything in my power to bring this goal to fruition.
In addition to the physical attributes needed to play college baseball, I am blessed to be a student in one of the most successful academic school systems in the country and am working hard to develop a GPA that will be mutually beneficial to myself and to the college coaches that might be interested. Academic success is not only promoted in our community but is expected. I know that I have much work to do, in the classroom and on the field, but I also know that I will put in the work needed to create a complete player that will be attractive to college coaches around the country.
