Sports have alwats been inmportant in my life. I have played soccer and hockey at high levels but it was when I tried baseball that I felt I found my sport . Both of my parents and thier families are athletic, with numorous of my cousins and uncles playing Usports and D1 softball and baseball. I started baseball later than most, at the age of 12. As I started baseball later than most kids I had to work hard to get noticed and to catch up/surpass other players. As soon as I started playing I fell in love with the game and that's all I've wanted to do. I've learn from baseball that even though it is a team sports your success comes from the effort and hard work you put in. I'm currently in grade 10 and on the honor roll and have been since the 6th grade. I understand the importance of good grades and how that will help me getting into a good college in a couple of years. I take my physical and mental conditioning very serious as I know those are the tools that will help me succeed. I feel that I'm a mentally tough person and I'm always challenging myself to keep improving whether that be in the class room, my physical conditioning or in sports.
