Jacob Ryan '28 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play baseball at a high level while pursuing a degree in engineering. My academics are strong and I am a hard and dedicated worker both on the field and in the classroom. I am relatively small and don't pass everyone's "eye test," but I always bring energy and a positive attitude to my teams. I am a very good gap to gap hitter. Defensively, I see myself primarily as an outfielder but I am confident covering any position but catcher and 1B. I do believe my best position is pitcher. I have good command of four pitches: a 2 seam and a 4 seam fastball, a curveball and a change up. I believe the last 2 are my best pitches, especially my change up.
