My name is Lily Knox and I am currently a sophomore at Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, California. My passion and strong work ethic have afforded me the opportunity to play on a few high-level teams. I began travel ball at the age of 10 playing on the California Raiders 12u team under Coach Phil Bruder. The last three years I have played on Firecracker Weil 2024 under Coach Rob Weil and this season I was given the opportunity to play for Tony Rico on the Firecracker Rico 18u team.
Since I put a glove on my hand and swung a bat for the first time at 4 years old my dream has been to play softball at the collegiate level. I continue to treat each day on the field as an opportunity to improve my abilities. My competitive but kind nature and positive attitude have gained me recognition as a leader on the field. I am extremely coachable and adaptable to new technics and situations that put me in a position to strengthen and grow myself. I strive to always be a supportive team player. You will always hear me on the field and in the dugout cheering on my teammate.
I completed my freshman year of high school with a 4.12 GPA at a nationally recognized college preparatory school taking Honors courses in English, Math and Science. Currently, I continue to keep high academic marks while participating in the Lion’s Ambassador program at school and playing travel and high school softball. Additionally, I work a few days a week with my hitting coach assisting young girls in my community develop their skills and provide encouragement and mentoring as they grow a love for the game of softball.
