Austin Bigelow '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Austin Bigelow, I am currently a Sophomore in the class of 2024.  I attend East Hampton High School in East Hampton, Connecticut.  I was born June 19th, 2006 and currently 5’8” 165 lbs.  I am a switch hitter, and throw on the right side.  I am a primary Catcher but also play Third, First, and occasionally Outfield.  As a Catcher I take charge of the field, learning from Coaches, and helping Teammates improve.  When I am not on the baseball field I try to workout 2-3 times a week and love to spend time with my Family, golf with my Brother, fish with my Grandpa, and love spending time outdoors.  My Parents set high goals for grades with a 3.8 GPA and multiple Academic Awards. I make sure to work as hard in the classroom as the baseball field and shoot for straight A’s. As for Colleges I would like to stay in the Northeast or East Coast but would be open to many more places.  I would like to major in Criminal Justice pursuing a Career in Law Enforcement, in particular becoming a U.S Marshal, State or Town officer.  In conclusion I not only try to become a better baseball player everyday but try to get everybody around me better.  Thank you Coaches for taking time to read my personal statement.
