My name is Michael Price Dupont a 6’6, 215 lbs Catcher, varsity letter winner in the class of 2019 at Cardinal Newman High School. I live with my Mom and Dad in North Palm Beach Florida. I fell in love with playing baseball at the age of 5 and have been attending Tommy Hutton Baseball Academy in the summer as a camper and now as a counselor, playing on Rec, all-star, travel, area honors and showcase teams ever since. It is my dream to play college baseball. I am searching for the best college and team experience to help me reach my overall goal to study and practice Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
As a catcher, I believe leadership is an important quality, the 6th tool. My coaches trust me to work with pitchers, call my own games, and most importantly steal strikes. I am respected for being vocal behind the plate on defense, clutch at the plate on offense and not being lead astray by my friends. I also spend time giving back to my community by serving as the Senior Patrol Leader of my Boy Scout Troop 150 (Life Scout working towards Eagle), being an active member of my church teaching Sunday School, participating in Youth Group, Mission Trips and serving as an Acolyte.
I consider myself coachable and diligently work to improve my baseball skills with strength training at Peak Performance, and weekly lessons focused on hitting and catching. I work part time catching bullpens to get extra reps to hone my receiving skills. I am committed to working hard in school to achieve my future life goals, improve my game, help my team win and compete for championships.
