Personal Statement
Thank you for viewing my profile! I have been a four sport athlete my entire life playing baseball, football, basketball, and soccer since I was young. I was recently listed by PBR as the #31 Ranked Player and the #7 Ranked Outfielder in Iowa for the Class of 2020. The past two summers of my sophomore and junior years I was a starting outfielder on Dubuque Wahlert's varsity baseball team. We beat numerous ranked teams the past two seasons as a 3A team playing in the top 4A conference in the state. Last year we made it to the sub-state finals where we went down 0-1 to the eventual back to back state championship team. This season we made it to the sub-state finals again, and went down 2-3 to the #2 ranked team in the state. We should make a strong run at a state championship this next season. I believe that I am a very well rounded athlete. For this past football season I played receiver, safety, backup quarterback, punter, and kicker. As a freshman, I was a varsity starter on our soccer team that finished ranked #5 in the state. After my freshman year, I realized that baseball is my true passion for the sport that I wanted to play in college. Therefore, I decided to not pursue basketball or soccer moving forward so I could focus that off season time to my baseball training and development. Now that I'm committing more time toward baseball, I'm really enjoying the work to further developing my skills to become an exceptional player. I believe I'm an excellent team mate and leader who helps others enjoy the game, and also encourages and challenges them to become the best players they can be as well. I'm excited to continue to work hard and push myself to become the best person, student, and baseball player I can be so I can continue to play the game I love at the next level in college, and most importantly to get my degree from a great school. Thank you for considering me for your excellent program. Attitude, Effort, Lead!
