Drew Churnock '23 Recruiting Profile

Ive played baseball for over 12 years now. Going into my junior season, I have 3 years of high school varsity experience under my belt. In 2021 our team brought home a district championships for the third time in 8 years.  Led by seniors my skills were defined as a pitcher. With only 8 innings pitched in 2021, I posted a 3.39 era, with a 10.84 KAv, along with a 1.55 WHIP. 

As of now (2022) Im a versatile player, with in game experience at third base, center field, left field, and pitching.  Along with that im a decent 6 hole bat posting a .280 average with a .400 OBP.  Currently on the pitching side I have a 2.33 ERA through 9.3 innings pitched, and with that a 14.26 KAv. My fastball sits mid 70's with a high 60's change up, and a 68-71 mph slider with a decent horizontal break. 

My greatest strength on the baseball field is forming team chemistry and being able to help the underclassman with most questions they might have. 

After highschool I plan to persue a degree in either finance or electrical engineering. Along with that my highest hopes are to play college baseball. 

In the classroom, I have a 3.39 GPA. With mainly A's, and B's. Ive taken honors physics, and have taken multiple advanced finance classes. My strongest class is history, averaging a 91%.
