James Kennedy '25 Recruiting Profile

I started playing competitive club baseball at eight years old. I also played recreational baseball and with the travel team, but I wanted to be a part of my older brother's club. I've committed myself to continuous improvement including multiple practices per week, weight training from the age of 12 onward, and participating in the Top Gun pitching program starting at age 14 each winter. I watched that same older brother play four years in the NCAA, and hope to again follow in those footsteps, as I saw how much he enjoyed competing, working out, and being part of a team as part of his college experience.  

I'm currently a LHP and outfielder, and I've spent three seasons on the high school varsity with Ramsey. High school highlight moments include a pair of no-hitters including a 17K one against our town rival. I've enjoyed traveling with Santos Baseball Academy, and earned All Tournament honors from Perfect Game for pitching last summer.

I maintain a 4.2 GPA, scored 1420 on the SAT, and recently received two 4's and a 5 on my AP exams. I hope to find a college program that lets me continue my work both in the classroom and on the field.
