Jeremy Cohen '26 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was 5 years old, baseball has held a special place in my heart. To me, it is not just a game, but a passion that has shaped my life in many ways. I loved the comradery that being part of a team offered. After several years of playing positions in the infield and outfield, I was asked by my 12u coach to start pitching. Despite a lack of experience at this position, I was motivated to learn and find a way to help my team. As I refined my skills, I fell in love with the physical challenges and mental fortitude required of a pitcher. 

As I progressed as a pitcher, I recognized how important physical health and development was to playing in competitive sports. I began working with a trainer, who guided me to develop my body in a healthy and responsible way. The more I learned, the more I realized that I had a passion for kinesiology and the field of physical therapy. I plan to pursue this in my college journey. In fact, it inspired me to create an electrical stimulation sleeve in my applied engineering club. As team leader of this project, we have entered into several competitions to bring this product to market. I hope to also raise awareness about the importance of physical therapy and muscle recovery.

    The discipline I have learned as a pitcher, playing in a team sport, has also helped me have discipline as a student. I understand the importance of time management, as this has helped me become a successful student and athlete. I know that the hard work I put into my academics will drive me forward in my college and career goals. I look forward to applying my skills to the success of my future college teammates, and to learn from them as well.
