Hello College Coaches,
My name is Aidan Gillis and I am highly interested in playing baseball at the collegiate level. I believe that I am a good candidate for any team because I am always working hard on and off the field. Baseball is very important to me and I have played it my entire life. Every winter I train for baseball by taking pitching and hitting lessons from a former major league player and scout. I realized that I wanted to have a college career in baseball a few summers ago when I decided to play with my older brothers travel baseball team. I was 15 years old that summer and I was playing with and against 17+ year olds. Not only did I compete with the 17+ year olds I was playing better than most of them. For the past two summers I have been playing with this team and I have had one of the highest batting averages. During my freshmen year I was brought up to play varsity baseball. In our first game of the season I was a starter at first base. I started every game that year and I also pitched in many games. My sophmore year is when I started to become a more dominating pitcher. We did not have a strong team, however, when I pitched we had a chance of winning the game. I had 2 complete game wins my sophomore year and one of those was against a team that later in the year advanced to play in the New York State Class B Championship game. Academically, I have always had good grades and I have been on Honor Roll most years.
