My name is Gerard Santos and I’m a 6’2 180lbs competitive pitcher. I am a hard working, dedicated student athlete and I believe I’ll make a great addition to your athletic department/team. My freshman year I didn’t get to play for my high school team because I was going to transfer to a better academic and sports school. But in my sophomore year, I got to start for Varsity Baseball for the whole year. I was technically the underdog of the team from being the the number 8th hitter and by our second game of the season i was the 4th hitter. After a .400+ season I led my team to win the eastern division and made it to the city semifinals. During the off-season it’s non stop, I go to the gym and go right to baseball practice. I’ve been going to Perfect Game showcases and recently went to the USA National Team Identification Series in North Carolina. People see me as the hard working but has fun at the time player. I always work on the fundamentals that coaches or trainers tell me to work on. “It’s always the little things that make you a better player”. I believe my commitment to training will not only help my personal play but it can motivate others and well and help the baseball community. During school time, I am the same person i’m always working hard, studying, having time with tutors if I need to. I have about a 3.3 GPA but I've had my ups and downs during the school year but I’m always trying to progress my self in being a better student and player at the same time. My coaches see me as a high on and off the field IQ player. They see how focused I am while I'm playing or while I’m hitting the books.
