Zack Leonard '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello.  My name is Zack M. Leonard and I attend Niles McKinley High School in Niles, Ohio.  I play for Head Coach Mike Guarnieri and have started since my freshman year.  I also play competitive summer baseball in the Youngstown Class B Baseball League for Manager Terry Dobson with DuraEdge 18U.  For Coach Dobson, I played-up as a 16 year old and started at second base… finished 3^rd on the team with a .333 BA, 1^st on the team in hits (23) and 2^nd on the team in RBIs (16). I have played baseball since T-ball and it is a dream of mine to play at the collegiate level and receive a quality education that will prepare me for the future.  This season (2020) will be my high school junior year and I believe we will have a very competitive team in the NE8 Conference.  I also play football and have been a 2-year starter at QB and played basketball, but chose to sit out this year to focus on weight training and conditioning.  I excel in the classroom and I am a leader on and off the field.  To be a top-notch student-athlete I believe it is necessary to have a can-do attitude to lift others up around him/her.  I believe I am that person.  I know I can excel at the collegiate level and would love an opportunity to showcase my skills.
