2024 Baseball player at Clover High School, SC. 5-Star Baseball 2024 Showcase. 5’11, 180 lbs, 1st base, 3rd base, RHP, 2nd base
My goals include playing baseball in college while earning a degree to one day practice Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine.
Baseball has been a staple in our house since my brothers and I were very young. But, for me, it has come with some challenges that have only made me stronger and more determined. In middle school, I became very sick. I was put into the hospital (Levines) and lost a large amount of weight. Doctors found a tumor on my thyroid. This wasn’t common for someone my age. The Pediatric Endocrinologist was not able to treat me. I almost lost my life until she was able to find an adult Endocrinologist who had seen my case once before in another patient. At 86 pounds and asleep for almost a month, he was able to remove the tumor. He saved my life. Due to incorrect treatment, I did have damage to my kidneys and it took a while to level out the calcium in my bones and build my strength.
With a travel coach and parents who pushed me, I was able to gain 60 pounds in 6 months. Baseball was a challenge but failure was not an option. I have never stopped playing. Some seasons playing on three teams.
I was also able to catch up on my schooling through Homebound teaching. This prepared me for COVID online learning the following year. I continue to attend high school virtually with attending baseball class on campus, two hours each day and of course baseball practice during the season.
I have worked at Camp Thunderbird in Lake Wylie consistently since I was 16. I get to work year round due to online schooling. I also train with Tremayne Stephens to help with agility/speed and love to play basketball for fun.
