Personal Statement
My name is Joshua Chase Way. I am currently a junior at Dorchester Academy located in St. George, South Carolina. I am a three sport athlete playing football, basketball and baseball. I am taking College Preparatory, Honors Classes and currently have a 4.0 grade point average. I have been on the Headmaster's List for six consecutive quarters. I am currently Secretary of the Class of 2019, on the Dorchester Academy Yearbook Staff, a member of the Fellowship Of Christian Students and a member of the Beta Club. My first love in athletics has always been baseball. From Tee Ball until now I have not missed one chance to pick up a ball. Baseball has taught me that you must work hard, not just when you feel like it, but every day to improve. Nothing in life comes easy without a constant dedication. In the off season, I work on my family's farm where I enjoy learning about machinery and the new technology in farming today. I plan on maintaining my current grade point average, graduate in 2019 and pursue my educational goal of a Bachelor's Degree while continuing to play the game I love!
