Personal Statement

I myself believe that I am destined to be great. I shoot for the stars and beyond  I am a very driven person. I strive for greatness in every aspect of my life and leave no room for failure. My character is built off of grit, effort, grind, practice, integrity, respect, and honesty. I do not accept mediocre for myself and continue to push harder to beat the competition and I know that I have the mental tenacity when there are no eyes on me. I have many goals, passions, interests, and aspirations that some might say I wear too many caps meaning my plate is always full. I am always hungry to do more, to practice, to learn, and to become a better person.  I am a very knowledgable person not just in academics but in the practice of self-balance. I push myself to be a leader in the classroom in the weight room and on the field. I make sure my presence is known by action. I do more and lead through action rather than my word. I keep my mouth closed, ears up, and eyes open, observing, learning, and leading. I feel as if the type of character I have is very uncommon in today’s society. In the classroom I am wanting to learn more, asking more questions to go deeper into the topic wanting to have that knowledge, and really understand the concepts. I am very interested in psychology, more specifically forensic psychology. I would very much like to study brains and find out the ongoing questions about emotions and reason for the human being. I have been involved in multiple different extracurricular programs and camps. I volunteer for the city, animal shelters, car washes, and nature programs. For the Manor Little League Baseball program I have helped coach and volunteered as umpire. One of my favorite things to do is help people, not for the reward or the good resume, but because I truly enjoy it. I am very implicated in philosophy and literature. I am always in a book or writing on paper. I read at least two books every three months. I write short stories for myself and I love to create characters for tabletop gaming. The art of emotion and virtuosic philosophy is intriguing to me and I would like to keep studying it as I grow. I am spiritual and faithful of the lord and I know that I have my purpose in life and that I have been tested at a very young age. My tests and obstacles that I overcame made me into the person I am today. Being a premature baby is a hindrance that I have learned to embrace it, me being premature is a motivation to strive and get better. I use the negative energy and use it as fuel. Over the years I have made a lot of progress with my body, I have gained a lot more strength and body mass. I am quick and have a lot of baseball experience. Playing in tournaments, playing above the age level, making varsity, and practicing over the summer has really helped improve me as a ballplayer. I love fielding the ball and being in the outfield. I tend to get along with all of my teammates even the ones that are new to me. I am usually a spark in the dugout always encouraging my teammates, and being on my feet. The outfield is my favorite part of the field because I get to run, nothing excites me more than the rush and drive to run for a ball hit into the gap. I have been playing ball my whole life, I have played every position and even though I knew some weren’t a perfect fit I never stopped working to perfect my skills at that position. I have base running IQ that can diminish the other team’s spirits, my speed and quick decision making is constantly getting better. I know how to work the pitcher and make split-second decisions that will benefit the team while at the plate. I have always been a team spirit guy and I play to win. I am very competitive and believe my work ethic is like no other. The game is for me, I simply just love every single thing about baseball. I always have a smile on my face, I’m very positive and will always be there for my team. I continue to grow muscle, work out, and eat right. I know how to use my assets the right way, I am very tech-savvy and handy with tools. I am very active and always outside I will always need to be doing something and to have that something be college baseball will be a dream come true. I am currently growing up with four younger siblings and a puppy, I still find time to help around the house and be an aide to my family. I believe that I will fit and accommodate to any team, college, and coaching staff. I will always be humble and continue to grind. I am a team first-person and I love to please. I love to please people and still understand that I need time to myself as well. My work ethic is to push myself harder and farther to be the best version of myself. My work ethic is about discipline and putting in work even when no one is looking. Not just on the field and in the gym but in the classroom as well. I put time and effort into my studies and school work to get the highest score.  I think that I am a great recruit as an all-round player and an all-round person. I can fit into a wide variety of environments and teams, I believe you will not waste your time recruiting me.
