Zane Burton '26 Recruiting Profile

I am a serious player and student and I value hard work. I have respect for the development process and know that consistency matters. I like being around people who are dedicated and focused on being their best including friends and teammates. I would like to play baseball as long as possible, and have developed a disciplined routine of nutrition, training, and rest that have helped me make significant gains over the last two years. I enjoy all aspects of the game and am looking forward to a big junior season. Training over the last year has helped me develop a strong pitching arsenal with increased movement and command and helped me earn 58 Ks in 30 innings pitched this past summer and fall seasons. I also ramped up in my extra base hits over the summer and saw big gains in my approach at the plate. Outside of baseball, I am very interested in mechanical engineering as a possible degree path. I like building and coming up with creative solutions to problems. I recently designed and led the construction of a gravity conveyor system for a non-profit food pantry as part of completing my Eagle Scout rank.
